		<description>Hi, I stumbled across this blog, and found a good read! I&#039;m going to have to agree with your last paragraph, that I would probably use an e-book if someone were to give one to me. It would definitely consolidate space, and make transportability much easier than a bag full of books. I would imagine the text is searchable as well, correct? If it was, that would be a huge advantage when using a text book for studying. I work for a company that sells a note software, and right away I thought, &quot;wow, an e-book would go really well with our product!&quot; 

I often wonder if the e-book will ever fully catch on the way MP3&#039;s have. We took something that was always physical (vinyl, tape, 8-track, CD) and converted it to digital. Books have always been books. But I&#039;m curious to see if the digital age envelopes them too, and my bookshelves stop filling up!

However I find this an important lesson/topic to learn which is that the internet is not always reliable. This may therefore make it hard when in the classroom.
On my last two practicum&#039;s, my classes were in the computer labs, with a lesson plan ready, all the children logged on (20 minutes later - year 1 class) I was to discover that the internet was down. This can cause a lot of stress to the teacher and disappointment to students, but I guess the real lesson is to have a back up lesson just in case.

I do believe though, that the internet is an extremely invaluable teaching method!</description>
